Training Fees

Training Packages

(for those that own/lease a horse)

Full Training Package: $650.00 per month.
Includes 4-6 units per week. (No more than 3 Units may be used for lessons per week) Includes 1 bath/rinse per week and 1 clipper trim and mane pull per month. Does not include tacking/untacking service. For more info scroll down to Full Training Description. - Over $1000 value in total.
Special Full training package: $750 per month. For Full training horses needing 6-9 units per week.
Multiple Horse Full training package: $575 per horse for "Full Training" OR $625 for "Special Training" Available for those clients with 3 or more horses in full training.
Half Training Package: $425 per horse/ per family. 12 units per month. ONLY available for horses that are shared between 2 families. Each family pays Half training. - A $600 value in total
Exercise Only Package: $500.00 per month per horse.
Grooming daily and any combination desired of exercise rides on the trail and/or arena, turnouts, lunges, and handwalks 6 days per week. (Rides are a maximum of 4 per week) 1 bath per week, 1 clipper trim and mane pull per month (if desired) This package does not include lessons or tacking/untacking service.
Full Care Only package: $350.00 Grooming daily and any combination desired of Turnouts, lunges, handwalks, and grazing 6 days per week. 1 bath per week, 1 clipper/trim and mane pull per month if desired. This package does not include any riding, lessons, or tacking/untacking services.

Grooming Packages
Tacking/untacking Services: Add $100 per month to any package.
Up to 4 tack ups/downs per week for your rides. A la carte tack up/down is $10 per.
Full Grooming and Tacking Services: Add $150 per month to any package.
Up to 4 tack ups/downs per week for your lessons/rides and unlimited grooming maintenance every month. Recommended for those who plan on attending multiple shows a month. Also recommended for those who have time constraints and want to spend as much time as possible in the saddle.
Mandatory Grooming Fee - during the school year between $35 - $75 per horse depending on package.

* Body shaving and lunch/supplement program are separate.

** Tacking and grooming services are available during open grooming hours.
Current Grooming hours are Tuesday - Friday 8:00 - 4:00 Sat/Sun 8:30 - 3:00
2 hours notice is recommended as there may be occasional times that we are unable to accommodate you.
May not be available during some busy horseshow weekends depending on staff.

Description of Full Training

Full Training is suggested for those that own their own horse and would like assistance in all aspects of care and training of that horse. We help you every step of the way from scheduling of medical care and farrier, bathing, clipping, show prep, scheduling of transportation to horse shows, to paperwork and memberships of horse shows.

All horses that are in full training with Royal Oak are treated as though they were are own. They are checked over, doted on, and loved daily. The training packages are made up of units and each package is tailored to your individual horses needs.

Full training is 4-6 units with a maximum of 3 units being used for lessons per week.

Special Full training is 6-9 units and you may use more than 3 of them for lessons.

Units may be used in the following ways:

� a lesson for you on your horse

� a training/schooling ride for the horse

� a lungeing session

� a turnout

� graze

� hand walk

The combination in which the units are used is up to you and your horses specific needs and schedule. Royal Oak will make an evaluation of your horse and assist you in determining a combination of training units that will work for you.

Example 1 : an older, well educated horse may need only 1 schooling ride per week, maybe the owner would like to take 3 lessons per week, and then have him grazed and/or perhaps a turnout on another day. This uses 5-6 units.

Example 2: a young green horse may require 3 schooling rides per week, the owner would like to take 2 lessons and have the horse lunged one day. This would use all 6 units.

As you can see the combinations are endless but we have found this is the best way to accommodate for the varying horses and riders in our program.

Training packages may be split amongst members of the same family on that horse but may not be split between horses.

LUNCH SERVICE: Recommended for any actively working horse.

Maintaining each horse with proper supplements is very important to us. We prefer to use the Smart Pak system and each Smart Pak is designed and ordered specifically to meet each horses individual nutritional needs. From too hyper to too lazy, from too skinny to too fat, old and young we can help you and your horse reach a correct and balanced level of nutrition.

Prices range from $25 to $150 per month. Service and supplements included.

or $40 if you would prefer that we feed your pre-purchased supplements

Emphasis for all those participating in Training will be on the Hunter/Jumper style, focusing on the improvement of horse and rider in and out of the show arena, both in hunter, jumper and equitation classes.

Maintaining horse health will be the primary goal of trainer and rider. Bi-annual veterinarian clinics will be mandatory for all horses in training. This will insure horses will be at their prime, both in and out of the arena.

Royal Oak Stables will provide services to horses as they see fit. We will try to notify owner of extra cost before, but are not required to.
